School of Rock
School of Rock
The Gwinnett School of Rock grew out of a need for students to put into practice songs and material learned in their lessons. The School of Rock provides a great tool by which students learn song structure, how to play with others and how to improvise in a band setting. In addition, they experience playing and singing at the same time and much more.
Subsequently, the opportunity to play in a group with full instrumentation, vocals and all the equipment needed to create music serves as a great motivator for our students. However, the School of Rock is not just for students enrolled at Gwinnett Music. Anyone can participate. Furthermore, not only do we have kids and teens, but we have adult bands as well. Rehearsals, Space and Equipment
Each band is organized according to age, experience and musical preference. Our bands are usually 4 and 5 piece combos: guitars, bass, keys, drums and vocals. We provide a coach for each rehearsal.
The rehearsals are an hour* long and structured. At the end of each session there is a professionally recorded concert both audio and video. We provide all of the equipment: p.a. , amps, mics, drums, etc. Students need only to bring his or her own instrument. Ready to enroll? School of Rock.
Tuition and Scheduling
Tuition and Scheduling The cost for each session is $295.00. There is a $50.00 enrollment fee that is applied toward tuition. Full payment is required by the first session and is non-refundable once each session has begun. Each session is 10 weeks long and are as follows:
Fall Session...............................................Aug. 27 - Nov. 4
Winter Session..........................................Nov. 26 - Feb. 17
Spring Session..........................................March 4 - May 19
Our Summer Sessions are four weeks long. Each session meets twice a week.
Summer Session......................................June 3 - June 29
....................................July 8 - Aug. 4
