Lisa Young performed in her first musical at age 12, and knew from that moment on singing on the stage would be her life’s pursuit. Lisa holds a bachelor’s degree with a major in voice performance and minor in piano from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. She furthered her studies as the protege of Mdme. Joy Davidson of the Greater Miami Opera, who is famous for performing the role of Carmen more than 500 times around the globe. Highlights of her career include singing live on 104.7 The Fish, Georgia Public Radio, state wide live TV placing in top 5 of Miss Minnesota, a division of the Miss America Pageant, she released an inspirational CD, “Shine Through,” Lisa has appeared as concert soloist in the Dominican Republic with the National Symphony Orchestra, New World School of the Arts and Bach Choral Society in Miami, Choral Guild of Atlanta, Michael O’Neal Chamber Singers, Southern Regional Educators conference, Stone Mountain Sunrise Easter Service, Herman Cain, Fmr. Governor Sonny Perdue, the French Consulate in Atlanta, and numerous churches throughout the southeast. Lisa currently is lead vocalist and emcee for Limelight, a corporate band in Atlanta. She is a freelance vocalist/keyboardist at weddings and private events. Lisa has been coined a ”chameleon” by top musicians in the Atlanta area, because of her wide range of versatility in musical styles. Lisa is the proud mother of CJ, 16 and Miles, 13.
