Samson is a professional musician with 26 years of experience in teaching, performing, planning, and coordinating music programs and activities in religious, educational, and community organizations. He is a versatile and skilled musician who teaches and plays many styles of music including classical, contemporary, gospel, pop, Caribbean, jazz, rock, and African music. An accomplished pianist, choir director, music educator, and nonprofit professional. Samson received the “Most Outstanding Director of Music of Liberia” award from the Oliver Gibson Annual Global Gospel Musical Convention, USA, a group of church musicians from Liberia living in the United States in June 2022. Samson is Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Agape National Academy of Music (ANAM) in Monrovia, Liberia. ANAM is a nonprofit which provides free and low-cost individual and group music lessons to children and teens. The academy provides training in music education, playing instruments by ear, worship and art leadership to young men and women who go on to lead the music and worship programs of local churches, schools, and community groups in Liberia. Samson’s background with teaching piano to children, teens and adults began at ANAM, where he has been teaching piano lessons since 2008. This involves private and group lessons for ages 3 and up, from beginner to advanced students. His passion is to teach young children, teens, and adults the art of the piano and all that it has to offer. He loves to teach and watch them progress. He challenges them with new methods of instruction to keep them interested throughout the lessons. Following his graduate studies in the US in 2017, he relocated to Georgia for a work study where he was approved by the Georgia State’s Department of Early Learning to teach music lessons to children at a private music school called PJ Services.
